Rustic Hungarian Terracotta Jug

Hungarian pottery is well known for its artesanal technique made to last. Clear example is this beautiful 1950s rustic terracotta jug with painted white stripes. The inside has been enamelled which means it can safely hold liquids. 

As always, pre-loved items are not perfect and although in very good shape, just a small chip at the top as per photos and some discoloration in certain areas due to the passing of time. This just adds character to such a wonderful piece. 

Measurements - 24cm tall by 12cm diameter.
